We’ve been involved with more than 20 Neighbourhood Plans, but yesterday was a first for Place Studio: two referendums on the same day…double the nerves!
Though we work hard to lay the foundations for a Plan which reflects community consensus, it’s always a nerve-racking time, and the teams behind them often stay up late to get the results of the vote count!
Two very different places, and different challenges resulted in two very different plans for the Place Studio team to collaborate with the local community on. Both the Calne Community Neighbourhood Plan and the Semington Neighbourhood Plan were voted into force with 92% of the voters saying YES to the Plan!
For over 10 years now we’ve been working together with communities to have a proactive and positive say in the planning system, to reflect their places and people in future development. When you get emails like this one below it makes the hard work worth it…
